Anarchy is Not Just a Childish “Phase”

Where love rules, there is no will to power; and where power predominates, there love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other.

-Carl Jung

There are people who thought anarchism was just a “phase” that I would grow out of; they saw my “beliefs” as a way to lash out. They thought I was being juvenile so they did not take me or my ideas seriously.

But I am still here, advocating freedom seven years later.

These long years consisted of long days, thinking about and meditating on liberty, contradicting various ideas, and rebutting the contradictions until I discovered a synthesis—until I finally hit on the fabled AH-HA moment. (more…)

You and I: Discovering our Natural Opposition to Authority

Bear it aloft, O roaring flame!
Skyward aloft, where all may see.
Slaves of the World! Our cause is the same;
One is the immemorial shame;
One is the struggle, and in One name —
Manhood— we battle to set men free.
“Uncurse us the Land!” burn the words of the Dead,

~Voltairine de Cleyre

Me

I am naturally opposed to authority; it is in my bones. But I did not always know. It was buried alive deep inside of me and I had to coax it out. It just took time and experience to expose this truth. But once I grasped it, I was forever changed. Now I do not see the world in the same hazy, drunken stupor. I no longer harbor the lemming mindset. If I come marching down streets, I come with my fist raised and head held high.

If someone tries to tell me how to live without my consent, they will have a bad time. If they try to command me to do as they wish, I will indulge the opposite. If they try to make me get down on bended-knee and genuflect, I will mock them. If they try—resistance they will meet.

I am sovereign.

Demons in the City of Love

A planned “terrorist” assault hit Paris with force. Over a hundred people were killed during the rampage. The perpetrators, according to news sources (mainstream and alternative), came in with AK-47’s and bombs strapped to their bodies. The worst part of the attack happened at a concert hall. That is where the majority of the causalities took place. The attackers fired their machine guns into the crowd for ten minutes. It was a blood and body filled execution chamber. I will not fill in more of the gruesome details.
